What we collect, why, and the choices you have. Short and plain.

What we collect

Account: your email address and Stripe customer identifier. Payment: payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number; we receive limited billing details such as subscription status. Security and anti-sharing: session and device identifiers, sign-in events, IP address and coarse network information, and request timing, used to keep your membership secure and enforce the single-user license. Support: messages you send to Steve or to us.

How we use it

To provide and secure the Service; to verify sign-ins and new devices; to detect and stop account sharing, fraud and abuse; to process billing; to answer support questions; and to meet legal obligations. The member view carries a faint per-member watermark derived from a one-way hash of your account email to deter redistribution.

Steve

Questions you send to Steve may be processed by an AI service provider to generate answers. Don't share sensitive personal or financial information in chat.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Service (for example Stripe for payments, our hosting provider, our email delivery provider and our AI provider for Steve), when required by law, or to protect our rights and the security of the Service.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary, HttpOnly cookies to keep you signed in and to recognize trusted devices. We don't use advertising cookies.

Retention

We keep account and billing records for as long as your membership is active and as needed for legal, tax and security purposes afterwards. Security logs are kept for a limited period.

Your choices

You can update billing details or cancel in the member portal, and you can ask us to access or delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements, by emailing us.

Children

The Service is for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children.
